Whew last week was a busy one for us! It was a wonderful week full of family celebrations. It started off with Mom's birthday. I had a great time treating her to manicures and pedicures the afternoon of her birthday.
On Tuesday we took the kids to Como Zoo for the morning. The kids especially loved seeing the beautiful butterflies and riding on the Carousel.
It rained a bit, but we did not care!
The kids got to feed the giraffes!
I took Karen out for dinner to celebrate her birthday. Kristi joined us and we had a lovely time on the outdoor patio. We had many laughs!
On Sunday we went over to my parents house to celebrate my Dad's birthday! The kids had fun giving him his gifts. The kids enjoyed riding their car around at Papa and Nana's house.
The Saturday before we had a fun time with my family at Coon Lake.
Greta swinging on the tire swing at Papa and Nana's house. I remember swinging on that swing as a young girl.
Relaxing in our backyard hammock.
For our 10 year anniversary we stayed at Larsmont Cottages on Lake Superior. My parents watched our kids for us and we are so grateful. We love staying at Larsmont and we got married on the north shore so we felt it was appropriate. The weather was beautiful and we had a lovely time celebrating together. We asked our friend Andrew who photographed our wedding to come take some pictures of our vow renewal on the lake. He got some amazing pictures and I am excited to post them soon!
Andrew brought us some champagne to celebrate!
The kids hanging out at the library. They love checking out books.
The boys found a toad at the park.
Brothers in the bath!
Asa playing with Play-Doh.
Eli showing me his dragon fly.
Asa and Greta holding hands in the car. So sweet.
The boys and their gold rocks. They gave a big one to Papa for his birthday.
This picture of Greta walking with Papa and Daddy makes me happy.
On Saturday I went to a Moms group leaders retreat with our church. It was a great day with great friends! We are looking forward to another year of Moms group!
We can kick back!
While I was away for the day Brian took the kids to Lake George, by himself!
They also did some painting. Asa loves to paint.
They also baked some cookies.
This week the boys have vacation Bible School in the mornings. They get to be in the same group together. This is how Greta felt having me all to herself!
