Weekend at the Cabin at Bass Lake

We had the most amazing weekend at the cabin at Bass Lake in Brainerd MN! We are so glad that Papa was able to join us for the long weekend. The weather totally panned out too, which was a gift. The forecast made it look like it could rain all weekend and we only had a sprinkle of a shower one of the days. It was cloudy, yet the clouds broke a few times for lovely sunshine. We all fished a bunch and caught some big ones! We had a campfire most of the time. We ate a lot of good food and enjoyed being with each other.

These three finished 2nd grade, Kindergarten, and preschool! We are proud of how hard they worked this school year and how much they have grown. They will be starting 3rd grade, 1st grade, and second year of preschool in the fall. It is fun to celebrate the ending of the school year at the lake.

I finished reading both of my books! It was great to kick back and relax.

Check out Asa's fish face!

Greta helped me make a USA flag eclair cake for Memorial Day. While we were making it she said, "Mama you are just like Nana. You are really good at making cakes." That made my heart happy.

The boys loved riding on the paddleboat and fishing!

Papa telling stories around the campfire.

Big bass!

Love him!

Awesome time fishing the days away!

We all took turns on the kayak!

The sign of a weekend well spent, all tuckered out!
