Happy 100th birthday to my amazing grandma! I am so thankful that we were able to come and celebrate with her in California. We were able to visit for over a week and it was wonderful to get to spend so much time with her. We would sit and listen to her stories in the evenings. The kids sang for her and Greta danced her ballet routine. Asa told his jokes. The kids were excited to make her 100th birthday card, so special! It was wonderful to spend time with extended family. Our kids put on a play for her birthday with Becky's kids. They put on the play of grandma playing pretend when she was a girl and Aunt Ilah was the wall.
We visited Becky and Danny in Oakland and they took us up to Mount Tamalpais State Park and to Muir Woods. It was beautiful! We also took the kids to the Golden Gate Bridge for the first time. Brian and I took the kids hiking at Point Lobos State Park. When my dad and Karen came, we went to walk at Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park and to Natural Bridges State Park. We spent sometime enjoying the sunshine on the beach and then walked the path to see the Monarchs. We visited Aunt Annette and Uncle Kris in Pacific Grove. The kids loved playing in the tide pools! It was a wonderful time in California!!
