I had a beautiful birthday weekend celebration and I am thankful for my sweet family. On Saturday, Karen and Kristi took me to the Gammelgarden Swedish Museum in Scandia. We enjoyed a Swedish Coffee Party and learned about Swedish Christmas traditions. The food was delicious and then it was time for some Christmas shopping in the boutique. Afterward, we went to The Watershed restaurant for some lunch together. I am thankful for my sisters. My dad took me out to dinner at Acapulco that evening to celebrate my birthday together. It was wonderful to have some time to talk together just the two of us.
On my birthday Brian and the kids took me out for breakfast at Keys Cafe and then we went to church. Brian and I were able to go out on a date that afternoon and evening to the Melting Pot restaurant in Minneapolis. We love eating there because of the relaxing four course fondue meal. We realized that this was the 19th birthday that Brian has shared with me! Wow, it is hard to believe the first one was when I turned 20, yet I remember it clear as day. I love him.
Love my kiddos!
Love my Dad!
Sister time! We are excited to see you at Thanksgiving Dave!
I think Brian said something that made us laugh so hard!
Brian bought me some roses.
My card from Greta.
My cards from Eli.
Eli said the volcano was exploding with love for me!
Brian created this card for me with the kids.
The card from Asa. My kids are the best!
This morning I drank my coffee out of one of the beautiful mugs that Mom gave to me. I am so thankful that she is my Mom!
I definitely missed sharing my birthday with my Mom in person this year, yet I know that she is with me. I reread my favorite birthday cards that she wrote to me over the years. It was like getting a birthday card from her from heaven. Love you forever Mom!
