We have had a fun week going to different parks with splash pads so that the kids can cool off with the hot weather we have been experiencing. The other day we went to the splash pad at Andrews Park in Chaplin Park and we found a huge caterpillar! The kids were so excited, we have not ever found a caterpillar so large. We looked it up online and found out it is a Lunar Moth caterpillar.
We brought it home that afternoon and put him in a fishbowl with sticks and leaves. In about an hour later he started building a cocoon around himself! This has been so neat for out kids to experience. In about 3 weeks he will be turning into a beautiful Lunar Moth.
The cocoon!
Greta absolutely loves to play with her baby dolls.

Eli made his bird nest!
We took the kids to the library this morning because it was rainy. They enjoyed returning books and checking out new ones. Eli and Asa were able to draw a picture of their favorite book to earn a free book each! They both love the book Ten Apples Up On Top, so they each drew a picture of that book. Eli earned a book about going to kindergarten and Asa earned a Daniel Tigger book about going to a carnival.
I like this sweet picture of Greta watching the rain come down while we were at the library.
