Big Boy

Eli is continuing to grow big and strong. He is working on taking steps each day. He is now up to four steps in a row!

He loves sitting in this race car track that Grandpa and Grandma Meyer gave to him. Grandma says that he looks like Big Bird when he sits in his nest. He loves to race the cars on the track, though I think he likes sitting in it just as much.

Here he is trying to grab at the plant near his high chair, we have moved his high chair away from the plant. =)

Out enjoying the fall day at the park.

Eli loves to knock down towers and is getting pretty good at trying to put blocks in the shape sorter.

Eating avocados and making a big mess!

Eli is so big!

Every Wednesday night we have small group Bible Study with our friends from church. Two of the other couples also have babies. We take turns watching the babies up stairs during the study. It was my turn to watch last Wednesday. It was fun to see Eli and Alieda play together. Alieda is 3 months younger than Eli. Pretty soon baby Ben will be able to play with them too, Ben is now 3 months old. Alieda followed Eli everywhere he went and tried to do what he was doing. We are thankful for our community from church.

Eli is 11 Months Old

Eli is 11 months old and learning everyday! He is such a smiley and happy baby. He continues to love peek-a-boo games with his stuffed animal Mr. Crinkles. It is so fun to see him crack up into giggles!

Eli is imitating us all the time now, it is neat to see how much he is learning. I played his baby piano with his stuffed animal and then he picked up the stuffed animal and started playing the piano with the stuffed animal. I put his pooh bear on his fire truck and pushed it around. Pooh bear fell off and Eli picked him up, put him back on the firetruck and started pushing him around. Another example, I pretended to feed his stuffed animal some of his rice crackers and then he put the rice crackers up to his stuff animals mouth, just like I did.

Eli loves to stack his rings and he is starting to figure out how to stack his blocks on his wooden train. He loves knocking over block towers!

Eli is able to stand for over a minute by himself now! He has even taken his first steps! Eli enjoys pushing his firetruck and walking while holding onto it from behind. Eli loves getting firetruck rides around the house from Daddy and Mommy. He can climb up our full flight of stairs no problem. Needless to say we have three different security gates in our house to keep him safe.

Eli is a joy and we are blessed everyday by him. He is a gift from God.

Eli looks so handsome in the blue overalls from Grandma Meyer.

Standing by himself!

He loves to wave!

Playtime with Daddy and Mommy at the Park

It was a glorious afternoon to enjoy out at Bison Creek Park near our home. The best park of all was that Eli took his first steps with us our in the field! We are so proud of our little guy!

Standing like a big boy!

Love that smile!

Sticking his tongue out!

Getting tossed gently up in the air!

Lovely fall day.

Riding in his big boy car seat.

Autumn at Grandpa and Grandma Meyer's

We went over for a visit at Grandpa and Grandma Meyer's house. It sure looks like fall here! There are beautiful colored leaves all through the trees. Grandpa and Grandma suggested that we take pictures of Eli on top of the shed in the back yard by the brilliantly colored leaves. They took pictures of us as kids on top of the shed in the fall time during the changing of the leaves. We got some great pictures of Grandpa Meyer and Eli!

Grandpa enjoyed it too!

Having a great time with Grandpa

Wait a minute, is Eli up there all by himself? No, Grandpa is holding onto him tightly from behind!

Brian and Kristi climbing high in our old climbing tree as kids =)

This was fun! Grandpa, Daddy, and Eli brought back some cattails after their walk in the woods. We had fun shaking them and letting them explode all around us!

Aunt Kristi is so cute!

Mommy got in on the action too!

Even Eli got to play with the cattails!

What a fun Sunday afternoon!
