End of August

On Monday we had our first day back to school! Eli is in 5th grade, Asa is in 3rd grade, and Greta is in 1st grade. We are excited to see them learn and grow this new school year!

 

Brian video taped Asa and I as I interviewed him questions for his 9th birthday. The video will come soon!

The other night Brian and I went out to dinner and we went swing dancing! Dinner out and swing dancing is my favorite kind of date night. We had a wonderful time dancing to the music from the live band.

Last Saturday Greta went to her friend Julia's princess birthday party! She had a wonderful time.

We all enjoyed going to two Twins games this August!

Happy 9th Birthday Asa!

Happy 9th Birthday to our Asa! Asa brings us joy and he does everything with enthusiasm! He loves to play baseball and he loves to make people laugh by telling them jokes. We are so thankful that God gave us you as our son! We love you Asa!

 

We had a fun birthday party for Asa with both sides of the family this past weekend. He said he wanted a s'mores birthday cake and we made him a three layer one! It had graham cracker crumbs, chocolate cake, and marshmallow fluff. It was delicious! Thank you everyone for making him feel so loved and special!

We had a fun dinner out at a Hibachi grill to celebrate!

Camping Trip at Split Rock Lighthouse State Park

We had an amazing time on the North Shore! We camped at Split Rock Lighthouse, hiked at Gooseberry Falls, hiked at Jay Cooke State Park, and spent a lot of time by Lake Superior. We got rained on a bit the night we set up camp and the day we were packing out. The rest of the time the weather was lovely! We love our family time.
