Mom Retreat With Co-op Friends

Last weekend I enjoyed a moms retreat with friends from my homeschool co-op. We rented a house in Spooner Wisconsin, which is about 2 hours east of us. We enjoyed yummy food, played many games, went on a hike, and share many laughs!

Brian took the kids to their friend Gavin's birthday party while I was away last weekend.

Brian and the kids went over to the Wellman's house to play while I was away because their Mom was also on the retreat. They had so much fun with friends!

Eli has really been getting into wood carving. He even set up a little workshop for himself in our garage! He is patient and talented. He has been working on craving many different animals and he is going to put his wood carvings in the project fair at our co-op at the end of April.

This is a wood carving of a squirrel that Eli made recently.

His happy place!

Brian has been taking nature pictures in our yard.

Can you see Mr. Owl?

End of March

We have been loving our outdoor hot tub! It has been a wonderful way to beat the cold this winter.

Greta and Asa made seahorses in their art class at co-op.

Eli did an awesome job on his water color painting of South America in his art class at co-op.

For the Little Lit class that I am teaching at co-op, in the story that we are reading, Jem Strikes Gold, the story mentions the phases of the moon. I thought it would be fun for the kids to learn about the phases of the moon with Oreo cookies. I practiced with Greta and Asa at home and then I lead the activity with both of my classes at co-op today. The kids made the phases with a plastic knife. The kids really enjoyed the activity! It is always fun to do an activity that you get to eat afterwards.

Karen and I made a birthday dinner the other night to celebrate Kristi's birthday! I always have the best laughs with my sisters! We are getting very excited for Kristi to have her baby soon. We are having her baby shower at my house on April 2nd!

Field Trip to Seaquest and Other Happenings

Brian and I enjoyed a date night out the other night. It is feeling like spring!

The other day the kids had a campfire with Papa.

We keep seeing this group of four deer in our backyard. We hope we have some fawns this spring!

Greta playing princess dress up with friend Brielle.

Yesterday we went on a field trip to SeaQuest with our homeschool co-op. The kids and I were glad that Brian could come too!

Greta was excited to see the mermaid!

Earlier this week Brian took our kids and the Wellman kids sledding for the last time this year.
