Happy New Year!

 Happy New Year! Our backyard looks like a winter wonderland. 

Karen babysat the kids yesterday so Brian and I could go out on a lunch date. Today Papa is coming over for New Years Eve dinner and games.

 Brian took some pictures of Greta in her princess dress that she got for Christmas. She looks so beautiful out in the fresh snow! Love her! 5 is such a sweet age.

Christmas Celebrations

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas! We got a blizzard a few days before Christmas, it was fun to have a white Christmas!

 

We started a new tradition with my sisters and Greta. We had a Christmas Tea! It was delicious and fun to be together. Brian, Papa, and the boys went for a hike together during our tea time.

I made two batches of gingerbread cookies and a batch of chocolate chip cookies. Greta loved them with a big glass of milk.

Christmas Eve with Papa!

We got together Christmas Eve at Papa's house with Karen, Kristi, and Ben. We enjoyed singing Christmas Carols with grandma and other family members. We got to FaceTime David afterward and meet his girlfriend Bri for the first time! My sisters and I made Christmas Eve dinner. We also went to Papa's house on Christmas Day after we had our family Christmas morning. Grandpa, Grandma, and Jason mailed gifts to us and we opened them and talked to them on the phone on Christmas Day.

On Christmas Eve the kids each got to open one Christmas present. They each got a stuffed animal!

Brian and I worked hard Christmas Eve on getting everything ready for the kids for Christmas morning! It is so fun being a parent!

There is nothing like the excitement of Christmas morning! The kids got us up while it was still dark outside and we started our morning early! I love their excitement!

The mini pool table/air hockey table was a big surprise!

Greta loved her princess dress and her tea cart.

Asa's pants fall down a lot so he was happy to get some overalls! He looks super cute in them.

Asa and neighbor best friend Lucia each made each other sweet cards for Christmas and gave each other little gifts. Their friendship is too cute!

The kids worked so hard to finish up school last week. We get a week off for Christmas celebrations!
