We had an amazing trip visiting family in Illinois and going on to Kentucky to see the Ark Encounter, Creation Museum, and Mammoth Cave. We started our trip by staying with Uncle Kevin and Aunt Laura. The kids enjoyed running around the farm again.
Then we went with Dad and Uncle Jeff to stay at a house rental in Kentucky for three nights. It was lovely and out in the county. There was a friendly barn cat that the kids loved to feed and pet. The Ark Encounter was amazing! It was neat to see a life sized replica of the Ark. There was also a petting zoo, large playground, and camel rides. The kids loved petting the kangaroos.
The next day we visited the Creation Museum. It had beautifully kept grounds that we explored first and then we toured inside. They had a full walk through exhibit of creation all the way through Jesus. We enjoyed a 4D experience show of the 6 days of creation and then two planetarium shows.
Lastly, we visited Mammoth Cave together. The kids enjoyed seeing the longest cave in the world. We then went back to spend another full day at Uncle Kevin and Aunt Laura's. We visited Uncle Jeff's farm and the kids really enjoyed playing with the chickens. We had fun visiting with family and playing many games together. We are grateful for a wonderful trip. While we were driving we saw a double rainbow!
