First Day of School!

We had a fantastic first day of school yesterday! Eli is in 3rd grade, Asa is in 1st grade, and Greta is in Pre-K. It will be a great year of learning! It feels good to get back into routine again and I love my curriculum! 

We are studying Adventures in US History and we enjoyed a patriotic snack yesterday to kick off the school year.

I had about me and self portrait papers waiting for the kids to work on when they came to our school table to start our day. They did a great job!

In our Bible curriculum we are currently focusing on the meaning of our names. My name means pure and Brian's means strong. I wrote a letter to each child to tell them why we picked their names and what their names mean. I also wrote a prayer over their lives. They enjoyed reading them with Brian and I this morning.

End of August Adventures

 Last Friday night we had Kristi's postponed bachelorette party! We were so happy that we could celebrate with her after all of the covid craziness this year. Ben was the boat captain and we had a blast boating on Lake Minnetonka! We went swimming and some went tubing. It was fun to see Ben knock them all off the tube! Afterward, we went back to Kristi's place for a game, opening presents, and many laughs! It was fun to see her so happy.

Brian and I had a lunch date the other day. I love dates with my husband. Quality time is my love language.

Happy 7th Birthday Asa!

 Happy 7th birthday to our Asa! We love being your parents! Asa is a joy to be around. Asa is kind, funny, adventurous, and loves to fish! We love you Asa!

We gave Asa an "Animals on the Creature Trail" themed birthday party because he loves all animals! Brian and the kids had fun helping me decorate his cake. We love celebrating our birthday boy!

Thank you everyone for loving on Asa! He was so excited!!
