Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July! We had a fantastic 4th of July weekend celebrating our country and the freedoms we hold dear. On Friday Papa and Auntie Karen joined us for a boat ride and swim. Afterward, they came back to our house for a barbecue. Early Saturday morning we drove northwest to our friend's cabin in Cotton, MN. We had a delightful time together and the weather was warm and perfect for swimming. We went boating, fishing, swimming, had a campfire, enjoyed a boat parade for the 4th of July on their lake, and watched the amazing fireworks show from their boat. It was a great time with our close friends, we are so blessed to have them for next door neighbors!

Greta and Nels are best buddies and they do everything together. 

We did our own fireworks show on the lawn before boarding the boat for the big show.

We all stoped at Gordy's for burgers, fries, and milkshakes on our way home late Sunday afternoon.

That is one tired Greta after a full weekend!

We stopped for a bathroom break in Rush City on the way home and had to get a picture with the great walleye!

This was so sweet, the other night we checked on the kids before going to bed and Asa had crawled into bed with Greta. They love each other.

Last week we went strawberry picking as a family! I made a yummy strawberry shortcake.

We have spent a lot of time at the beach since it has been in the 90s daily.

After an evening of kickball with friends, the kids decided to jump in Ham Lake to cool off!

The other day Brian was working in our studio in our second garage and I came to get him for our lunch date. We had fun taking some picture together with the studio lighting!

The kids love to swim! I am glad that they can still take swim lessons in August this summer!
