Father's Day Weekend

We had a delightful weekend celebrating the awesome dads in our lives. On Sunday, I made Brian a big breakfast and the kids gave him the cards that they worked on hard for him. We got him a special coffee mug for Father's Day. We went to church, it has been 4 months since we have been able to go in person! It felt great to go and worship with others again.

Yesterday afternoon we took Papa and Karen out on our boat. We borrowed a tube from a friend and all took turns riding on the tube! The kids were super brave and even Papa got out on the tube for a ride! Kristi and Ben joined all of us at our house for a delicious potluck style dinner. It was fun to share the day together.

Cards for Daddy

Cards for Papa, we also mailed out a card for Grandpa Bossany

Fun on the tube!

Last week one of our neighbors, Lorena, treated us and the Wellman family to ice cream from the ice cream man! It was a fun night in our cul-de-sac!

Eli and I went on a walk just the two of us. I love our conversations and that he still wants to hold my hand.

Another tubing picture of the kids!

We love being on our boat!

Our friends JD and Lia invited our church small group over to their house for lunch, swimming, fishing, and tubing. It was an enjoyable time for all!

Brian found a snapping turtle!

Friends Anna and Lia

Last Friday we had a hot and fun time at Coon Lake Beach with friends from our Co-op.

Last Saturday we went for a hike at Cascade Falls in Osceola, WI. We love eating at the Watershed restaurant too! We love our family adventures.

Today the kids were playing in our ferns and dressed Eli up as a fern monster. They have fun together!  Now leave the rest of my ferns alone please children.

Mid June

This month we have started doing play dates with our friends again! We mainly play outside with them and it feels so good to be around people again.

I love photos that capture emotion. Joy! Daddy was making funny faces to get the kids to laugh. I remember that Dad did that for us when Mom was trying to get pictures of my siblings and I when we were kids.

Julia and Greta missed each other!

We had such fun having Julia, Logan, and Gavin for to play with the kids. They are all the same age and everyone had a buddy, which works out great. We are excited to go over to their house for dinner tonight.

Cute new swimsuit!

Cruising on our boat and relaxing at the sandbar is our favorite place to be.

Papa has been coming over to read to the boys the first book in the Chronicles of Narnia series, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. They love it! I remember Dad would read these stories to my siblings and I when we were kids and we loved it too.

Watch out! Greta has a squirt gun!

Greta wanted me to take pictures of her with all of our spring flowers and with her toad.

Bass fishing for days.

We also had a fun play date with friends Brielle, Jace, and Braydon.

Since baseball was canceled for the season, we and three other families came up with a great idea. On Tuesday evenings we get together and the dads teach the kids how to play baseball and we have some fun games! Eli is playing first base here. The kids love playing with their good friends.

Asa hits a big one!

Eli had some good hits too!

Tea time with my Greta girl.

I love the peonies from our flower garden!

Yesterday we met up with my friend Heather and her kids Luke and Cora at Coon Lake Beach!

Last night at dinner Asa lost his first tooth! He was eating his chicken, and he said his tooth felt funny. His tooth popped right out! He is so proud and Eli is glad that he is not the only kid in the family to have lost teeth now. The tooth fairy visited Asa last night!
It is fun to share in these sweet milestones.

Asa greeted us today and said he has a toad in his pocket!

Night fishing with neighbor friend Hans.

Last Monday we got out on an afternoon lunch date! It felt great to go out to eat again.

I love watching Greta play with her Maples. It reminds me of how I played for hours as a girl.

We love swimming at the sandbar! We had a fun family squirt gun fight!
