Well needless to say life as been anything but normal since we got home from Florida two weeks ago. I am thankful we went to Florida when we did! I decided I needed to blog about it because I will want to look back on this time and remember. We have been in "shelter in place" basically since we have been back from our trip. That means that we are only suppose to go out of our house for essential items like food. It is strange that the restaurants, libraries, museums, schools, almost everything has closed down because of the Coronavirus. The kids have kept telling me, "Mom it is a good year to start homeschooling since now everyone is homeschooling!" Yes so crazy! We have not missed a beat with our schooling so that has been a positive. We do however, dearly miss seeing all of our friends and going to our homeschool social co-ops and field trips. I get so sad thinking about all of the field trips that have been canceled and that we might not be able to go to our co-ops for the rest of the school year. It has been great to have so much quality family time and be able to spend time outside. We are thankful that it feels like spring!
Also, we have been watching our Substance church sermons online since we have been home. Our church has started micro Zoom groups where we meet online before the sermon on Sunday and Wednesday evenings after Pastor Peter's address. We met last night and it was so good to see and talk to our friends! We were able to check in, share wins in our lives, and pray for needs in our lives. That helped us feel more connected again for sure!
Enjoying lots of family time!
The boys built an awesome Lego roller coaster!
The kids have loved Doodling with author Mo Williams on YouTube. He is one of their favorite authors and they have gotten to learn how to draw his characters.
Beautiful sunset over our pond.
It feels like spring! We have been going for many walks as a family and Papa came over on Sunday for dinner and a campfire.
Our church micro Zoom small group!
