Daddy's Birthday!

Last week we enjoyed celebrating Brian's birthday as a family. On his birthday I made him a big breakfast and then Papa came to spend time with the kids so that we could go on a picnic lunch date. We ate lunch at Fish Lake and went for a 4 mile hike around the lake. It felt great to get some time for just the two of us and of course the kids had fun with Papa. It has been warm so we have taken our boat out several times! We love being on our boat, it is our happy place.

Asa and Daddy relaxing.

The kids latest artwork.

For Brian's birthday, he wanted me to make the pretzel strawberry jello dessert that Mom would always make. I was so happy that it turned out! We ate the entire dish in one day!

The boys dancing and singing together!

Last week Eli caught an enormous bass!

I am thankful that our kids have amazing friendships right next door. They have been writing cards back and forth. These are some sweet cards for our boys from their friend Hans.

Greta started the trend with the neighbors, she is always drawing and writing cards to her family and friends. She drew this sweet card for me.

I love my Greta girl. Four and a half is a fun age. Greta is always full of excitement and joy. She reminds me to live in the present moment.

On Sunday we went for an adventurous hike with Papa.

The boys love playing in our muddy backyard and sometimes we let them go for it. It was fun to see them have a blast together!

More sweet cards from Hans to the boys.

Eli is an amazing Lego builder! He is so creative!

Greta was playing Super Greta again.

Brian and I drinking our morning coffee together, the best.

Some sweet cards from Greta's friend Luica.

Here are some sweet pictures of the boys in their suits for Kristi's wedding that I forgot to post earlier. They look so handsome.

The brothers love to build together!

Jesus is Risen! Happy Easter!

Jesus is Risen! Happy Easter! Even though we could not gather in our church building, I am so thankful that we could worship and hear a powerful message with our church community online!

On Good Friday we went for a family walk in our neighborhood. In the evening, we digitally joined our church community for a worship, prayer, and communion time together.

Saturday was a beautiful day for an Easter egg hunt in our backyard!

We love the Easter tradition of dyeing Easter eggs together as a family.

The kids pretending they have googly eyes.

The kids woke up to new rain boots filled with candy surprises!

For the past few Easter celebrations Mom/Nana would make this beautiful rainbow jello cake. I want to keep this Easter tradition going in honor of her. I made the rainbow jello cake for the first time and it turned out great!

The kids helping me make the jello cake.

The kids with Papa on Easter! Papa gave the kids a book on Noah's ark for Easter. They love it when Papa reads to them!

Karen and I in our pastel sweaters.

Becky organized the family to meet on Zoom for Easter. It was wonderful to see Grandma and everyone else!

We went on a hike with Karen and Papa the day before Easter.

Greta loves playing with her dolls.

Greta was happy to receive an Easter outfit for her doll in the mail from Grandma Bossany. Grandma gave some craft supplies to the boys.

Eli thought this Lego man looked just like Papa!

Not only have we been doing a lot of Zoom time to keep in touch with family and friends, the kids have too! Greta and her friend Sienna talked for a long time together.

Eli made a Lego droid called EB8, after him, Eli Bossany age 8.

Asa made a Lego creature too.

Greta loves school! She is always asking me for more work to do. Her handwriting is looking great!

Brian surprised the kids with this delicious chocolate cake from Costco.
