Well this has been an unusual week for us. It started Monday with a snow day off from school and then proceeded with three more days off for cold days! The temperatures have been around -26 with -50 for windchill. Crazy cold weather! They even stopped the mail services from coming yesterday and closed down the University so that my Dad had the day off work too. The good news is that it will finally be warming up again tomorrow and we will have temperatures in the 40s by this weekend. Oh the extreme weather of living in Minnesota!
We have enjoyed our unexpected extra family time this week and we have stayed warm indoors. We have played many games, read books together, put together puzzles, and watched movies. We even shared some hot chocolate today in honor of National Hot Chocolate Day!
The kids were excited about the snow day!
This is how Eli felt when we told him he had more days off this week! He was a happy boy.
Greta was thrilled to have Nana watch her dance at ballet class last week.

Asa's picture made with fruit loops.
Asa's class read the book The Mitten and they all climbed inside a giant mitten to be like the animals in the book.
