Autumn Activities!

Yesterday we went to Pleasant Valley Orchard in Shaffer, MN. It was a beautiful apple orchard where we could pick our own apples, go on a hayride, and play. It was super close to Taylor's Falls so we went hiking there afterward. It was our first time hiking there with our kids and we were a bit nervous to say the least. The kids stayed by us and we did not go by any cliffs. When we returned to our car Asa said, "Well no one died!" We laughed and agreed that was a success. We have been enjoying our warm fall weather.

Asa playing in the corn box at the apple orchard.

All of the kids loved it!

Daddy and Greta on the hayride.

Of course Greta enjoyed riding on the play horses.

Cute brothers.

Family fun!

Hayride!

Greta really enjoyed the fresh apples. We brought a big bag home! The boys are going to help me make apple crisp and applesauce.

They loved climbing the trees and picking apples.

Eli having a blast!

Playing on the tractor.

Asa loves to build and always wants me to take pictures of what he creates.

I met up with my friend Jessica and her kids at the Brooklyn Park library this morning. They have a STEM play area and the kids love it! Jessica and I got to talk the whole time!

Nana came over on Saturday and we took the kids for a walk to the park!

Brian and I enjoy our afternoon date/work times on Thursdays. Our babysitter Autumn watches the kids for us for a couple of hours.

Asa playing with the breakfast Play-Doh kit he got for his birthday from Karen and Kristi.

Hanging out at the park.

The kids are intensely watching Howard Bound The Incredible Journey. It is their favorite movie, it is sweet to hear them laugh and laugh. Brian and I watched it with them and we were both in tears at the end when the pets found their way home. I have never been able to watch that movie with out crying at the end.

Brian and I went to Parent Night at Eli's school last Thursday evening. We got to listen to his teacher talk about the curriculum for the year and see his classroom. Here is his self portrait, I love what he said about what he loves! That is our Eli!

Asa is so fun!

I am helping Eli with some school work.

Happy Greta.

I love that Greta has some curl to her hair like her Daddy. Swinging is her favorite!

The boys loved playing in the potholes at Taylors Falls yesterday.

We love our date afternoons!

They did a bit of climbing.

It was a beautiful evening for a hike.

A week ago we went to visit Grandpa, Grandma, and Uncle Jason. They gave him his birthday gift of Spider-man Legos and a Spider-man book.

The boys enjoyed going for a ride with Grandpa.

Here is another self portrait by Eli. I love that kid.

They let the big caterpillar go at Grandpa and Grandma's house.
