End of September

This week the weather has felt more like fall weather. It has been sunny the past few days though it was rainy on Tuesday so we took the kids to play at Adventure Park in the morning. Greta was brave and went down all of the big slides!

Asa and Greta play well together when Eli is at school. They enjoy going to Moms Group with me on Wednesday mornings.

Last Sunday we had a fun busy day with friends. After church we went over to Carl and Jenna's house for lunch. Later on, we went over to Shane and Anna's house for dinner and Erik and Angela joined us. I love getting our families together. It was a lovely night and the kids loved playing with all of the other kids.

Papa and Auntie Karen took Eli and Greta out on the canoe last Saturday at Papa and Nana's house.

We beat Carl and Jenna to their house after church. Here are the kids waiting.

Greta looked so pretty in the dress Nana gave to her. I painted her toenails the other day and she sat still.

End of September Heat Wave

We have enjoyed playing outside this past week and the weather has been warm! Yesterday we had a high of 91 degrees for the first day of autumn! It was an eat ice cream and run through the sprinklers kind of evening.

We all decided to cool off in the sprinklers!

Yesterday Eli's class earned an ice cream party for their positive behavior. Eli is sitting next to his teacher. They also all wore their school shirts! There is a wooded area by the playground at his school and Eli loves to build forts in there at recess with his friends. His teacher tells us that she loves having Eli in her class. She says that he is so sweet and he loves nature!

The other day we checked out a new park that is like an obstacle course. The kids liked it.

Yesterday after Greta woke up from her nap. She was still not quite awake.

On Thursday Brian and I had a lovely date out by Lake Calhoun. We enjoyed laying on the beach and listening to the water hit the shore.

Earlier this week we played at the Children's Museum as a family.

We picked up Eli after school on Wednesday and went for a hike at Spring Brook. The kids caught a turtle! We had them let it go back to the pond.

They also caught a frog.

Greta found a toad in the yard the other day and her brothers were impressed! She can also climb our rock wall now. Oh boy!
