Eli's Two Year Old Birthday!

The Saturday before Eli's birthday we invited both sides of the family over to celebrate Eli's birthday with a "Play Ball" birthday theme. Mom and I decorated the house with soccer ball, basketball, baseball, and football decorations. Eli was very excited to see all of the balls! We also ordered him a "Play Ball" themed ice cream cake, it was delicious! For his birthday Eli got a wooden kitchen with pots and pans, play foods, two foam balls, Mr. Potato Head, and a Leap Frog Alphabet and Numbers learning toy. Eli loved opening his presents! He enjoys playing with all of his new toys.  I practice his alphabet and numbers with him everyday at breakfast time.

Eli usually loves blowing out candles, however, when everyone starting singing "Happy Birthday" to him he got scared. He started crying and cling to me! We eventually calmed him down and he did blow out him candles. Eli loved eating the ice cream cake.

On his actual birthday we took him out to dinner where he got to have a special birthday sundae with a candle on it. He enjoyed blowing that candle out and eating the sundae.

Eli liked all of the ball decorations!

Singing happy birthday scared him, help me Mom!

His new play kitchen!

Eli was happy to play with his new kitchen the next morning.

Eli Turns Two!

We have a two year old! Eli is such a delight and continues to talk more and more each day. His most recent words are happy, taco, animal, bear, honey, teeth, and two. He is also starting to put words together such as: "Hi Dad", "Hi Mom", "I'm two" and "My Nana".  He continues to love to play anything with balls and has an amazingly accurate throw. I love that Eli already has a love for reading. When we read books to him before nap time and bedtime at night, he holds up his pointer finger and says passionately, "One more!" This usually turns into a least three more stories before bed. =)

We took Eli in for his 2 year old well child visit at the doctor's office. He is now 35 inches tall, putting him in the 67th percentile and now weighs 29 pounds, putting him in the 63rd percentile. He is a growing big boy and we love him very much!

Asa and His Friend

My good friend Emily had her baby girl named Molly the same day that I had Asa! We have been joking about an arranged marriage! About a month ago she came and visited us and I had to post this cute photo!

Harvest Party

Our church did not have a Harvest Party this year so we went to a Harvest Party at a church near our home. It was quite the party! Each room had a different theme where the kids could do different games to earn candy. They had a Narina room, a Scooby Do room, a Superhero room, a Stars Wars room, a room filled with balloons where kids had to find Beanie Babies, a Whac-a-Mole room, and many more. Eli had a blast! We dressed Eli up as Tiger and Asa up as Pooh Bear.

Tigger got the mole!

Pooh enjoyed snuggling with me
