Date Night

Friday night Grandpa and Grandma Meyer came over to babysit Eli so Mommy and Daddy could go out on a hot date. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma! Brian and I got all dressed up to go out for dinner at the Melting Pot in Minneapolis. The Melting Pot is a fondue restaurant. We had a delicious four course meal. It started with a bread and cheese fondue, then salads, then a meat and potato fondue, and then a yummy chocolate and fruit fondue. Afterward, we stopped by the Stone Arch Bridge for an evening walk. What a beautiful evening!

Spring has Sprung!

This has been a fun week for us. Brian and I have both been on spring break, so the three of us have spent a lot of quality time together. Brian is working full time at Sobriety High School as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor and I am only working Tuesdays and Thursdays as a School Counselor at an elementary school in St. Paul. The rest of the week I get to spend with Eli. When I am at work Grandma Meyer gets to spend time with Eli. Auntie Karen and Auntie Kristi love to play with Eli when their work schedules are open. 

The weather has been wonderful all week. It has been in the upper 60s and even hit 70 a few days. We have gone to lots of parks in the area and taken Eli on stroller rides. 

This morning when Eli woke up we picked him up out of his crib and laid in bed with him a few minutes while we woke up. He kept looking back and forth from Mommy to Daddy for about five minutes, smiling the whole time. That is the best way to wake up and start out the day!

Yesterday we went over to my dear friend Tracy's house for a play date with her kiddos. She is letting Eli borrow this bouncy toy because her youngest has grown out of it. Eli loves it!

The Three of Us

Eli is growing!

These pictures really show Eli's growth over the past four months. From left to right, they are one week old, one month, two months, three months, and four months. I am glad we decided to capture his growth in this way.

4 Months Old!

Eli is 4 months old now and is so much fun! He loves to laugh, smile, and blow raspberries with Mommy and Daddy. He has great head control and is getting closer to sitting up by himself. His legs are getting stronger, he enjoys being held up so he can stand on his feet. He has found his feet now and loves to grab onto them. He reaches for toys and has a strong grasp. We can tell that he will be teething soon because he has been putting everything in his mouth; including Pooh Bear! We pulled out his Johnny Jump Up for the first time today and he loved it. He is not jumping quite yet, he is using it to stand up on his feet. He appreciates the independence that it has provided for him. 

We had Eli's 4 month well child doctor visit on Friday. He checkout great! He now weighs 15 pounds 14 ounces and is 25.5 inches long. He is in the 70th percentile for weigh, height, and head circumference. He is a happy baby and Daddy and Mommy love him so much.
