Eli's 10th Birthday Party! Double Digits!

Double digits! We had an amazing time celebrating Eli turning 10 with a birthday party with family. We celebrated a bit early because it worked well for family. He wanted me to make him an Oreo cake because he loves Oreos! I thought turning double digits and double stuffed Oreos goes well together. I had fun making his special cake. Happy 10th birthday to our Eli! We love you!!

For his 10th birthday he received: Under Armor clothing, arrows, shooting target for his arrows, fishing books, whittling tools for wood carving, Oregon Trial game, Telestrations game, dinosaur books, fishing shirt, Trail Cam, baseball bag, fishing lures, and cards and checks. He is a blessed 10 year old!

Mid October

We had such a beautiful overnight getaway in Stillwater. Brian set up an overnight date to celebrate my upcoming birthday at the beginning of November. I will be turning the big number 40! Wow! He loves me so well. A big thanks to my Dad for watching our kids!

Asa lost his first upper tooth! He was pretty excited!

Asa lost his second upper tooth 2 days later when my Dad was watching the kids!

The other night we enjoyed a beautiful sunset while out on our boat.

"The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display His craftsmanship."

Psalm 19:1

Gorgeous fall leaves in our yard.

I love this stage of no front teeth! So cute! Asa keeps singing, "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth!" I am glad that I grabbed him singing it on video. Love him.

Eli drew this tree. He said that it is Nana's tree in Papa's yard. He is so sweet.

The kids are always making artwork.

Greta is loving dance class!! She has started practicing for her Christmas recital.

Greta also enjoys playing Maples, just like I did when I was her age.

We have been studying a geography unit in our homeschool. We have made a Chinese meal and an Indian curry chicken meal at home. They were both delicious! We took the kids out to a Hibachi Grill and Sushi for the first time. The kids loved watching the food get prepared in front of us. The chef was so talented and he had us rolling in laughter! It is the best to share new experiences as a family and create amazing memories together.

Asa has been working so hard on his handwriting! I am proud of him! He even asked if he could do more today. He said that it is now his favorite subject. This is really something, because last year he was often in tears when I asked him to write anything. We welcome this growth!

My friend Angela and I planned a field trip for our co-op to The Snake River Fur Post in Pine City. It was interesting to learn the history about how Native Americans and the British traded furs and supplies in the 19th century. The kids got to sew their own little pouch. They also learned about what the settlers would do to survive in the different seasons. It was a great field trip!

Brian brought home these pretty autumn flowers from the wedding that he photographed yesterday.

We had a fun playdate at Greyson and Bella's house yesterday! They loved the pictures our kids made for them.
