Twins Game and Date with Papa

 In order to kick of Asa's birthday week, Brian and I took the boys to their first Twins baseball game! They loved it! The Twins even won, making it that much sweeter! Papa took Greta on a special date out to dinner and to the park. It was an enjoyable night for all. 

Papa took Greta to the playground right by our old house in Blaine, where I went to school and church as a girl. Papa even helped build the playground years ago. It was fun to see a picture of Greta on the chain bridge that I played on all the time growing up. 

Camping up North at Tettegouche State Park

At the beginning of August we had the most wonderful time camping as a family up on the North Shore. We camped at Tettegouche State Park. We hiked the High Falls, swam in Lake Superior at Spilt Rock Lighthouse rock beach and at Park Point Beach in Duluth, we rented a family bike to ride on Canal Park, and we relaxed together. There is nothing like the North Shore! The water in Lake Superior was so warm, it was the warmest that I have ever swam in it. It is my favorite place to swim, the water is so pure.

We had our annual family day where we remember all of God's faithfulness to us in the past year. I write down all of the reflections in our notebook and we create a rock monument as we reflect on God's blessings.

Summertime Fun

 We have had a fun-filled summer! It is hard to believe that it is almost over and that school will be starting again soon.

On one of the hottest days of the summer we had a family day at Bunker Beach Waterpark!

Angela and I had a relaxing time at her cabin! We were able to go up north for a homeschool planning retreat. It was great to get the planning done and to have some mom time to refresh.
