End of the School Year

We have finished up with both of our co-ops the past two weeks. We had some end of the school year picnics and I organized a field trip to Fawn-Doe-Rosa Educational Wildlife Center. The weather was beautiful for the field trip and we had a group of 48 come! The kids loved learning about and feeding all of  the animals on our group tour. We have one more week left of our school curriculum and then it will be summer break for us!

The boys are happy that it is fishing season again!

Papa spent time with the kids today while I went to a moms brunch with my co-op friends. The kids found a lizard in our garden.

Brian took Eli and Hans fishing the other day at Ham Lake.

Greta is excited to be soaring into kindergarten this fall!

Greta and Nels working on Perler Bead creations at preschool co-op. On the last day Greta kept singing, "I am going to kindergarten with Nels!" She is excited to be in kindergarten this fall!

The kids playing a silly bowling game at our co-op picnic.

"Mom can you curl my hair today?" Of course sweet girl.

A lunch date out and a walk at the park was just what we needed.

Mid May

Greta loves climbing trees!

Last night I found the boys dressed up and singing together!

Brian took a picture of a gosling in our yard.

Last Saturday we had a blast at next door neighbor friend Hans' birthday party! It was an outdoor survival themed birthday party. They had an archery contest, a fire making contest, and a knocking the bears down contest. Eli won the archery contest, he hit a bullseye. He is a natural! We are thankful for dear friendships!

Brian took a picture of an owl in one of our trees!

Baseball!

We have been having so much fun watching Asa play baseball! Brian took some awesome pictures of him at his game last night. Asa had 3 solid hits and he scored twice! His team had a big win of 19 to 3. We really like his coach and it has been fun cheering on the team with the other parents.

He is fast!

He was all smiles after making it to home base!

Happy Mother's Day

I had a special Mother's Day. Brian and the kids made me a delicious breakfast and they surprised me with flowers and sweet cards. I also had some good laughs from the kids interviews about me! I am incredibly blessed to be their mom. After breakfast we went to church and then we went on a long family bike ride to the park and back. It is fun that we can all bike together now!

Of course Mother's Day is bittersweet in that I miss my own Mom so very much. My sisters came over for the afternoon and we painted our nails outside in the sunshine as a way to honor and remember Mom. For years we took her out for pedicures on Mother's Day and it has helped to keep the tradition of painting our nails together on Mother's Day these past two Mother's Days since she went to heaven. I am so thankful for Jesus and for the hope of heaven. I am grateful to be blessed with the best Mom ever. Love you Mom!

Early May

It was a gorgeous day to have a picnic lunch out on the lake! It was a high of 86 degrees today! We love boating season in Minnesota.

Brian and I enjoyed a delicious dinner date to celebrate his birthday at Dancing Dragonfly Winery.

I love spending time with my sisters!

Asa is so excited to be playing baseball! Go Red Bulls!

Greta and Nels are best friends. They love spending the together at co-op and in our neighborhood.

Greta working on her painting project at co-op.

This was so sweet. Great Aunt Ilah surprised us and sent these special coins for the kids. They are coins in the year of their births. I put them in their baby books as a special keepsake.

The other rainy day, Asa and Greta created artwork for her ceiling. They worked on artwork in her room together for 3 hours! They were so proud.

Eli all cozy in our new living room/ 4 season porch. It is our favorite room of the house! We have a lovely view and it is super cozy. Every evening I read aloud to the kids in the room before bedtime. I will post updated house pictures soon. It feels so good to have it finished!
