Happy 9th Birthday Eli!

Happy 9th birthday to our Eli! Eli loves God, he is kind, he is trustworthy, hard-working, and he loves the outdoors. We are so thankful that God blessed us with you for a son! We love you Eli!

We had a blast celebrating Eli turning 9 years old yesterday! Eli had an outdoor themed birthday party with family. Brian and I had fun decorating his outdoor birthday cake! Thank you family for making him feel so loved!

We did our birthday tradition of a birthday interview! His birthday video and interview will come soon! Here are some picture from when we did his birthday interview.

Greta got a little gift too! She got a mama kitty and three nursing kittens. She is so happy!

Asa got a little gift too! He got a cool watch!

Eli received many exciting gifts from family. He got cards, money, many Lego sets, camo clothing and shoes so that he can blend in with our backwoods, books to read, dinosaur poster, Scrabble game, Lazer Escape game, BB gun, watch, and Walkie-Talkies. Thank you for blessing our son everyone!

October Happenings

The other day we made Play-Doh for the first time. The kids loved it.

This past Sunday the boys went to Micah's birthday party. The party was at a bowling alley. They enjoyed bowling, eating pizza and cake, and hanging out with friends.

While the boys were at the party, we took Greta out for a special dinner date with Mom and Dad. She had a good time.

Asa has loved all of his Tiggy's since birth!

The other night Brian and I were able to sneak away for a dinner date out together. We have been able to get out on many dates and they have been so good for our marriage in our busy wedding photography season!

Remembering Autumn

The snowy weather this week has made me want to remember how lovely our autumn weather was until this week. Just two weeks ago we had 80 degree weather and now we have snow on the ground!

I love this picture that Brian took of the kids climbing a tree and living their best lives. The wonder of childhood.

Last Saturday Papa and Auntie Karen took turns watching the kids so that we could spend an overnight getaway at a cute Bed and Breakfast in Excelsior. The place we stayed at is called the Birdhouse Inn. It was such a sweet time together walking through the town, strolling by Lake Minnetonka, eating at Lago Taco, and enjoying a delicious breakfast in the morning. 13 years and counting of marriage to Brian keeps getting sweeter and sweeter!

Even though Brian and I were not too thrilled to get a snowstorm in October, the kids have been playing with the neighbors kids in the snow not stop. I decided that it would be a good time to make homemade hot chocolate for a warm treat. It was yummy!

Greta found this flower headband in Brian's photo booth collection. She looks so cute!

The boys are proud of their Lego creations and their Lincoln Log build.

Fun Fall Field Trips

We have enjoyed some fun fall field trips this week! On Wednesday afternoon we went to Pinehaven Farm where we have gone every fall for the last four years. The Vest family met up with us and we had a sweet time together. The highlights were the corn maze, which we conquered, the pumpkin cannon, the big jumping pillow, caramel apples, and being together.

This afternoon we went with our homeschool co-op to Foggy Bottom Alpaca Farm in Isanti. We found out that it is the biggest Alpaca farm in the state. We were able to pet the alpacas and they were so warm and soft! They had a store and I bought some socks and a winter hat made of alpaca hair.
