We celebrated Asa's birthday as a family at a cabin in Brainerd where we spent time swimming, fishing, and relaxing. We celebrated his birthday with extended family the following weekend at our house. We gave Asa a fishing themed birthday party because he loves to fish! Asa loved his fishing cake. He had a fish piñata and he enjoyed opening his presents. He received a remote control boat to drive out on the lake, Lego sets, a fishing shirt, flashlight for toad hunting, a Nerf gun, board games, puzzle, Plus Pluses, a joke book, and a compass.
I picked these flowers from our flower beds to honor Mom at his birthday party. We all missed having her there so much, it helped to have a way to honor Mom and to know that she is always with us.
