The Real Spring is Here!!

We celebrated Brian's birthday this weekend and the weather could not have been more beautiful! Pretty crazy to get 20 inches of snow last weekend and for it to be close to 70 this weekend! Brian and I enjoyed a date at the Melting Pot restaurant on Saturday and then a walk around Boom Island in Minneapolis. Thanks to Papa and Nana for babysitting for us! On Sunday we went to church and then the kids had fun celebrating Daddy. We spent the whole weekend enjoying our yard.

Bike rides! Greta loves her new tricycle. Eli got to take Twinkie the class stuffed dog home for the weekend.

Greta and Asa liked snuggling Twinkie and we journaled about our time with Twinkie.

Brian and the kids surprised me with some beautiful spring flowers!

Mid April

Well it is hard to believe but we have had a blizzard this weekend! We are so over the snow! This feels like the longest winter we have ever experienced. We are praying that it will finally feel like spring soon. Church was even cancelled this morning due to the weather, yet we were able to watch the sermon online. The wild life has been beautiful. We have been enjoying many different birds at our bird feeder and we watched deer walk through our backyard last night.

Asa loves putting puzzles together.

Eli put on his swimsuit yesterday and wanted me to play beach music! They are ready for summer!

Greta enjoys riding her horse.

We bought some furniture for our back deck and the kids loved playing in the boxes!

Last Thursday we had a family day at Como Zoo! The conservatory was just what we needed!
The monkeys were also super entertaining, the kids kept laughing and laughing.

During the blizzard yesterday Brian photographed a wedding in Stillwater. He ended up staying the night because the weather was so bad. We are thankful he is home safe!

Beginning of April

Even though this has certainly been a cold start to the month of April, we have enjoyed some fun activities.

Eli and his kindergarten class are taking care of some babies chicks for a week or so. He is SO excited!

Eli lost another bottom tooth! He got a visit from the tooth fairy!

We are always finding Greta reading books to herself. So sweet.

Brian took Asa rock climbing for the first time this week. He was a natural and he was proud of himself when he climbed high enough to ring the bell!

We still have snow on the ground! Notice the kids made a grumpy snowman! We are so ready for it to feel like spring!!

Eli and his kindergarten buddies showing off their missing teeth!

The boys showing off their Play-Doh creations.

They love each other!

Greta is ready for warmer weather!

Lunch!

Bonfire time!

Asa was happy to dress Greta up like a girl Tiggy.

Last week I took Eli out for a lunch date and some shopping. I enjoy our conversations.

We got new sand for our big sandbox!

Greta hanging around with Daddy.

The boys love to drive their car through our yard.
