Eli and Asa's Favorites

Eli loves to look for bugs and other creatures outside. He has found turtles, frogs, toads, butterflies, moths, worms, caterpillars, beetles, spiders, and inch worms. He is so curious about the outdoors we really think he may grow up to be a scientist. He has great concentration. Eli excels at sports. He has a good arm and can throw really hard and fast. When Daddy pitches him some balls, he can hit many of them with a bat really hard. I think we will put him in T ball next spring. Eli also enjoys kicking the soccer ball all around the yard. Additionally, Eli has a love for reading. He enjoys sitting next to us while we read him book after book. It is so fun to watch him grow!

Asa has a love for music. He enjoys singing many different songs and knows most of the words. He can sing Jesus Loves Me, Jesus Loves the Little Children, ABCs, Edelweiss, and Twinkle Little Star. Asa also loves to dance. Asa has a big imagination and will pretend to be a monkey, dinosaur, and a monster. Asa is a really good climber and quite the risk taker. He is not even 2 yet and he recently climbed out of his crib! He has been adjusting well to his mattress on the floor and now we are not worried about him hurting himself. Asa wants to keep up with his big brother and is very willing to try new things. He likes to climb to the top of the play fort, he enjoys trying to ride his brother's tricycle, and loves to swing on the big kid swings. Asa also enjoys reading books with Mommy and Daddy. It is fun to watch him grow!

Looking for Turtles with Papa and Great Uncle Jeff

We went over to Papa and Nana's house this morning and the boys enjoyed playing outside by the pond. Papa, Great Uncle Jeff, Eli, and Asa had fun riding in the canoe looking for painted turtles. They were happy to find a big turtle and a baby turtle. Eli was in heaven.

Hot Summer in Minneesota

We have enjoyed the hot, sunny weather we have been having. We have spent a lot of our time at the local Anoka Aquatic Center where we have a summer pass. The boys love going down water slides and splashing in the water. We have fun meeting up with my friends Cole and Tracy often. The boys love to play with their kids! Yesterday our friends from church Kari and Jeremy and their boys met us at the pool for some fun!

The boys enjoyed some naked time while watching a show after going swimming at the pool

All Pregnant with Baby # 3!

I go to a Moms Group through my church every Thursday morning. There are five of us who are all pregnant with baby # 3! We had to get a picture together. We have so much fun!

Our Anniversary/Baby moon Vacation!

Brian and I had a fabulous time on our vacation up on the north shore earlier this week. We stayed at Larsmount Cottages, which are located about 20 minutes north of Duluth. The weather was beautiful the entire time! We enjoyed hiking at Gooseberry Falls, dining out, campfires, and of course lots of relaxing time by the lake.

We visited Enger Tower where we got married 8 years ago on the 21st and ran into our friend Megan! We used to work with her at camp!

We meet up with our friends Drew and Bekah in Moose Lake on our way up. It was great to catch up!

This was the landscape outside of our balcony window. So peaceful!
