What a Great Summer

Brian and I got the opportunity to go paddle boarding along the lakes of Minneapolis last Friday. We had such a fun time! We started in Lake Calhoun, then paddled to Lake of the Isles, and then through Cedar Lake. It was so beautiful and relaxing. We even jumped off several times in the middle of the lake. We plan to go again next summer.

At the beginning of this summer we joined a new leaders group called Married for Life at our church. We have been going through the DVD series Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage together this summer. It has been so fun doing life with these amazing couples. This fall we will all be starting our own Married for Life small groups. We plan to still meet for leadership outings and retreats together as leaders. Brian and I were reflecting on what a great summer it has been in so many ways. We feel very blessed by God.

MN Zoo Trip!

On Asa's actual birthday we went to the Minnesota Zoo as a family. We all had a great time enjoying the warm, sunny weather and all of the sites to see. Eli said that riding on the little tractor ride at the farm was what he liked best. Asa loved petting the goats at the farm. Another highlight was when Eli and Mommy got to ride on a camel together. We had a fun day celebrating Asa!

So we had another cupcake eating and let's just say the boys got into it =)
It was bath time right afterward!

Asa loves cheese!

The other day Eli and Asa we playing the game "suck on Asa's finger" Asa thought it was very funny!
It is so fun to see them interact more with each other!

Asa is a 1 Year Old!

Happy 1st birthday to our Asa! You bring so much joy to us everyday. You are sweet, smart, and adventurous! Asa is now walking all over the place and trying his best to keep up with big brother Eli. Asa continues to be a little cuddle bug, which we love! Asa is eating more solid foods and especially enjoys blueberries. He can be quite the chatter box; Asa says dadda, mama, and hi. It is so fun to watch and see him grow more each day!

We took Asa in for his 1 year well child doctor visit and he checked out great! He is 29 inches tall, which puts him in the 12th percentile and he weighs 18 pounds 12 ounces which puts him in the 11th percentile. We love our busy boy!

Adorable big eyes

Relaxing, taking pictures is hard work for a little guy

Brother Eli was bouncing in Asa's crib as we took pictures of Asa

Eli loves his Pooh animals and Pooh Bear is his favorite show
