Eli is 17 Months Old

Eli has now learned how to sign please when he wants something. The words he uses most are mama, dada, go, ball, and thanks. Eli loves to make animals noises. He makes noises for cat, dog, owl, lion, bear, and cow. When we go on walks he gets so excited when we see some dogs.

Brian and I have both taken Eli to Baby Storytime at the library and he just loves it. He does so well listening to the the stories and singing to the songs.

We have been going to Substance Church since the beginning of January. We were going to Mercy Vineyard Church in Minneapolis, but the drive was getting to be too long for us. Now it only takes us 10 minutes to get to church, which is much easier on Eli and both of us. We have really been enjoying Substance. I have been going to a Mom's group since the beginning of January that meets only a mile from my house. Brian has met a fellow wedding photographer and has been getting together with him regularly. We have been getting to know many other couples with young families like our own. Eli has been doing great in the nursery, the church has a wonderful children's program. It has also been a bonus to be going to church with my parents and my sister Karen. They like showing off their grandson to their friends at church!

Eli loves to climb inside of small areas that fit his size

Showing Daddy and Mommy how smart he is by giving us the animals after we say each name

Eli enjoys looking at books so much, he even does it while sitting on his scooter

Waiting for Spring to Come

Us Minnesotans are longing for springtime and hoping that it will come soon. I am still trying to come up with ways to entertain and play with Eli indoors; I am really looking forward to when we can go on walks to the parks again.

Eli is getting so good at throwing and making baskets in his basketball hoop.

March 2013

Eli is such a delight. He is getting better and better at feeding himself. He is even feeding himself with a fork and spoon sometimes. Fruit continues to be his favorite food. Eli does enjoy scrambled cheesy eggs and he eats a lot of broccoli.

Eli now will sign thank you and he will say thank as he signs it. It is so sweet! Eli loves to give kisses; it is so cute to see him kiss his stuffed animals.

He is signing for more yogurt

Eating his Cherrios

Eli is such a handsome boy!

He Shoots, He Scores!

We were hanging out in the living room this evening and looked up to see Eli happily putting all of his stuffed animals in his basketball hoop. I laughed and told Brian to get his camera. Brian was getting ready to take a picture of Eli and his animals, as Eli looked at the camera and gave us a big cheesy grin. He must be learning that you give a big smile when you look at the camera! He is such a funny little character.

Eli is now loving to make all different kinds of animal noises. He makes noises for dogs, kitties, monkeys, lions, and bears. It is so cute!

Another big grin!

Eli Colors

Daddy got Eli this cute little ball cap. He is getting him ready for baseball season.

Eli has the sweetest smile

Eli colors his first picture!

Eli loves to look at books. He will sit on our laps as we read 10 books at a time. Eli will bring us the books that he wants us to read to him.

Eli looks like such a big boy coloring at his little table.
